Hello All,
My submission is somewhat related to this topic.
At a very high level it involves
tiny hub at the local router which publishes the devices on its LAN to a "
DNS++"
along with the path to reach it.
Application developers can query "DNS++" and send messages to the device along with the necessary credentials.
The "DNS++" and Credential Management can be implemented as a blockchain to avoid central authority.
Not sure how blockchain can be effective in terms of the protocol itself.
Thanks in advance

The protocol can easily be a 2nd layer on top of secure Bitcoin or even Ethereum. This is the direction that the market is going.
Original Message------
Should the industry be moving towards standardization of protocol for end to end IOT management from Cloud to IoT Gateway to Thing (including low power & SIM-less devices)?
With this in mind, is there a candidate today for such a protocol?
