IMO, yes. as soon as the demand for next generation networks as 5G networks raise, the demand for computation withing the core network raise as well.

Understand that especially in last 1-1.5 years, NFV has gone beyond the "Peak of Inflated Expectation" to "Slope of Enlightenment" as per Gartner Hype Cycle…. And also understand that lots of work is happening across all leading Telcos globally, But the question is, will it ever/how soon be replacing the important core Telco functions?
