Since this is such a big group, I thought we might take some time to introduce ourselves, so that our future posts have a bit more context and color. Feel free to share who you are, what you do, and what project you are currently working on (or anything else you'd like to share).

I'm Melanie DiGeorge, your Community Manager.  My primary responsibility is building a thriving space for forum members to share ideas, ask questions, find the answers they are looking for and network with one another.

    Please share your introduction below!

    Greetings...

I am Senthil with ~24 years of core Communications Industry Experience , currently associated with HCL and working on the Digital Technologies for the CSP'.

My charter with reference to my area of work is as follows:

    1. How the API' part of the overall CSP enterprise can help them to transform themselves in to Digital Organization to stay relevant & competitive
    2. Leverage on the TMF Open API' and 3rd part COTS product APIs to see how we can support CSP and their end customer' towards
      1. Empowered 360 Degree self-care through Omni-channel
      2. Zero touch provisioning / Orchestration
      3. Unified Product Catalog & new Product/Service offering
      4. Service Virtualization

Thus enhances the overall Customer experience

In my view it could be achieved only when we work as an integrated community , share our learnings , so that

    • We can establish high degree of discipline in service offerings in the Communication Industry
    • Comply with Industry standards and Regulations
    • Achieve high degree of Data integrity

So, effective API management is key in my view.

    Hi Team,
I am Rajesh GVK from IBM Architect, in CSP space. But we are using reusable services and SOA in big way for integration across the applications. I want to find out if we have any deployment dependency for micro services. For example if i build a micro service along with other SOA services, can i build and deploy with other code normally ?.

    Hi,
I am Krishna Basudevan. I am an independent  IT and telecommunication consultant. Prior to this, I had  27 years of large telecom service provider  and SI domain experience. I have been working with GSMA  during my operator tenure on 3rd party API and left the thread once I moved out of operator to independent consultant. Some of the work I would be interested is monetisation aspect of API.

Worked with few of the large telco across the globe like Airtel Aircel, XL Axiata, AT&T, MCI, Embratel, Telstra  and SI like IBM, Wipro and HCL Parrot.

My area of interest is digital transformation, Cyber security, Big data analytics and IOT where API plays a significant role.

Hello, I'm (Mr) Laurie Reynolds from the UK, CEO and founder of AquamatiX, we are a specialist integrator of water management solutions based on IIOT. i'm new to TMForum, but had some discussions a few years ago when I first started AquamatiX about ways in which i could replicate what the telecoms industry has done with TMF for the water sector. Unfortunately,  building a new startup has taken more time and money than I expected and i haven't got very far with a global water telecomms standards organisation.

My interest at the moment is an OpenAPI model, and within that, a semantic ontology for describing water things.
I look forward to learning and sharing from this group's experience.

    Greets, all! 👋

I'm an Integration Architect at Telus Digital. I work closely with Sarah Ness here.

I came up in the games industry, old school C++ hacker, started making HTTP APIs in 2007 to keep track of skateboarding statistics.

Spent some time in media and finance, couple of mil in rev and cost takeout under my belt. Team lead, etc., etc., you know the deal.

2018 is going to see a big TMF build-out from us. Hoping to contribute back to the standards -- for example the black/white list thing we've been talking about.

    Have a great year everyone!

    Hey all!

I'm re-introducing myself: a new account for a new business.

By day I'm an enterprise architecture consultant. By night I'm building an API mocking service called Ersatz.io!

The idea is simple: I've noticed my clients all need to develop against the same services, the Open API specs, and the mocks they build are all, mostly, the same. Therefore, I'm building out one set of awesome mocks that everyone can use without duplicating effort.

I'm just getting started, so head over to the Ersatz API Backlog Priorities and tell me what you'd like to see first.

And feel free to ask about API mocking here and I'll give you my 2 bitcoins worth. :D

    Hi,

My name is Konrad Herba I am a technical project manager with development background in Amartus. I have 12+ years of experience in IT/telco. Currently I am interested in the aspect of intercarrier service orchestration. Since my company is an active MEF member and contributor we build a high expertise in the field of E-W/N-S APIs and service lifecycle orchestration, I would like use this knowledge in the context of TMF works.

(As Amartus we will be present in Niece, so if anyone would like to have a chat on East-West APIs [or cycling 😉], please feel invited to our booth.)

    Cheers,
    Konrad
