An interesting topic of discussion! As the next step of connecting all devices through NB-IoT and other Low Power wide area network technologies, critical device connectivity will require 5G. This will enable SLAs to shape network quality going forward and will open up many new and innovative use cases. In my humble opinion, zero-trust contracts will definitely be another critical multiplying factor here in some of such use cases.
Perhaps, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) can be extended beyond Enterprise IT system to End devices, and Smart shelves will be able to send puchase orders and GRNs securely directly to the Suppliers based on real time inventory.
