  • 1.  TMF-638: Service Version

    In TMF-638 Service object doesn't have property to represent version. Similar to PhysicalResource Object resourceVersion in TMF-639.

     

    Have checked SID and version property is missing on Service in Service ABE of Service Domain. Version is such an important it cannot be missing by mistake, probably by Design Service didn't have Version property.

     

    However TIP had version on Service Object.

     

    Expect versioning of Service to support both Service Fulfillment & Assurance processes.

     

    Also want the solution/model to align for Product, Service & Resource Instances similar to how it is aligned for Specifications.

    It is very clear that in resource layer version is a very important attribute because there could be same type/model device but different version exist at same time. For service, though it is not as often, but I can imagine that sometime different version of the service could co-exist.

    Purpose for what I was asking for version on Service in TMF 638 and resourceVersion in TMF-639 appear to be different and you response helped clarify it.

    Found an another discussion on the same topic from the past, from a quick read it appears we are good and need no change in the model. Am yet to analyze it completely, will summarize once am done on this thread.
