Hi,

We are implementing ShoppingCart and need to do some validation before saving to the database.

Some of these validations involve ProductOffering, which we have access through the productOffering: ProductOfferingRef that is in CartItem, another validation is at the price level (itemPrice: CartItem).The question arises is that we have no reference to indicate that price (itemPrice: CartItem) belongs to that ProductOffering.What is your view on this type of validation?

This is being fixed in R19 - the ProductPrice, OrderPrice, and CartPrice will all have a reference to the ProductOfferingPrice from the catalog, that defines the origin of the Price. This reference is optional, since the price entities are also used to reflect totals, in which case there will be no direct catalog reference.
