    Hello All ,
Looking for some guidance to determine which API fits the purpose :
The objective is to expose WiFi Credentials ( i.e. SSID/PSK) for a given eRouter .

Both , TM640 (Activation and Configuration) and TM639 (Resource Inventory Management) , provide a mechanism to retrieve a Resource instance representation , including it's characteristics .
Assuming that eRouter is a Physical Resource , and the SSID/PSK are the Resource characteristics , the question is which API , TM640 or TM639, better suits the needs .
Note : the SSID/PSK are "operational" characteristics of an equipment in the sense that that they can be changed as part of the service/resource configuration .

I think this can be also positioned as more generic question : what is the guideline to choose between TM639 and TM640 when a goal is to expose Resource characteristics for a given Resource instance ?

    Thanks in advance.

TMF639 entails more advanced inventory retrieval and update operations (as you have probably noticed). If you only need a simple Get operation on a single instance of a resource, I would go with TMF640. If you need various filtering and retrieval of multiple instance, probably TMF639 would make more sense.
