  • 1.  641 ServiceOrder PATCH

    Posted Sep 03, 2018 22:12
    Hi

    As per the 641 Specification,
When an Order is in Acknowledged state and delivery process has not started then user can Patch a Service Order.

How can we handle the below case?

UC 1/ Once the serviceOrder goes into a Completed state (with its associated service state = Active) & after 2 days of the service being live, there is a need to MODIFY the bandwidth of a service. How can we PATCH the serviceCharacteristics of a serviceOrderItem without any downtime of the service?

As per the specification there is NO action associated once the service state is Active.

    Thanks
    Vikas

    Vikas

In your UC, you have to trigger a new service order. This SO will have a service order item.
In this service order item you'll indicate the service id you want to modify, the requested service state and the target bandwidth value in the characteristics .

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks Ludovic

    Suggestion: If we could have

    - modify Action on a service associated with a serviceOrder &
    - & have order state to also transition from Completed --> InProgress

    Hi Vikas

Sorry I did not get it.... for me once a serviceOrder is completed this is a final state and it could not be inProgress again.

If your intention is to change the service (which is a distinct resource than the serviceOrder) then you'll have to trigger a new service Order.
A service could be modified by a 'succession' of serviceOrder.

    Thanks
