Hi Paul
You could consider modeling the SIM as a physical resource, see TMF639, and attaching it to the product using the
realizingResource attribute of
Product.
The handset might be better modeled as a Product, especially if you are selling the handsets, and use a product relationship to model the connection between the mobile subscription and the handset (device).
Having said that, you will probably find that other people might advise you that the handset is also a physical resource.
Hope it helps

Subject: Modelling of device information currently used with a product
Hello,
We need to provide to API clients the details of the mobile device using a simcard associated with a product (mobile subscription). We are modelling the details of the sim card (ssn, IMSI) as product characteristics in TMF637.
The details of the mobile device will be the IMEI and a string representation of the model, for example Sony Xperia XZ2. The product user can at any time change the device, so this association between the device and the product is temporary.
Is there an existing TMF API where this device information could be modelled? Using product characteristics in TMF637 does not seem right, but perhaps an extension of the Product class with optional additional attributes for physical devices associated with the product?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
