  • 1.  passing serviceType field from TMF638 to TMF637

    Posted Nov 29, 2021 09:24
    Hello Members

we are implementing TMF638 and TMF637 and we use serviceType field in TMF637 to differentiate service like individual and group . No when we need to attach a product to a service and there is no field "serviceType" inside realizingservice array to pass the value from TMF638 to TMF637 .

    1. shall i add serviceType as extension over TMF inside serviceref for realizingservice ?
    2. or shall i use @referredType instead ? if yes how can i pass this value as part of TMF637 GET request since in our implementation we need to use this filtering .

I'm confused. The attribute serviceType describes a service, and it should come from the definition of the service in the catalog (i.e. ServiceSpecification, although admittedly I don't find this in the service spec in TMF633). Why would you try to set it from the Product layer.
Unless you are giving a completely different meaning to serviceType?

    Hello Jonathan,

    Thanks for your reply,

actually I wanted to set it product level as part realizingService so that i can specify the type of service since there is some option for that in my system , Now got it and I choose not to include it in TMF637

    Hi Sreeram,

Did you resolve this if so can you post the solution here. If not we can agree on a potential solution.

    Thank you

I think serviceType is now CFS or RFS.  The category field may be the field that you need propagating somehow.
