Is there any material that described difference between NaaS and RFS?

    Hi Srinivasa,

NaaS is a service-based concept that hides the complexity of Resources (mostly technology-centric) within the Domain.

Please refer to IG1224 for more details. Please also give a read to IG1169 & IG1170.

Thank you will look at these referred material and revert back. RFS Spec was also meant to hide the network complexity from CFS Spec.

Couple of other document  to look at in addition to those that Abdul listed

GB999 ODA Production Implementation Guidelines v4.0.1  This Provided guidance on how to implementions ODA production based on experiences form ad number of 5G catalysts
the point is that services exposed by ODA Production should be based on CFS services and NaaS specifically.

As Abdul pointed out the primary goal is to abstract away the details of the the resources in the service and look at connectives Services and how these can be modelled using SID. endpoint of service do in practice have to describe the specifics of the technology i.e level 1 /2/3/7 based terminations/interconnect
There was quite a lot of work done in this activity to improve some of examples in the the associated SID guides notably

    GB922 Resource v21.0.0

    GB922 Service v21.0.0

As you mention RFS you might want to  also to look at Resource Functions((RF) in GB922 Resource v21.0.0   section  3.2.12 and especially

Figure Res.11 - ResourceFunctionSpec ProvidedBy relationships (OLD RS.04) pg 48

RF  have some advantages in implementions where the resources  include virtualised resources . RFS isn't as flexible for these situations and indeed in the SID Configuration ABE there was a proposal to deprecate RFS because of the restrictions it implies( see fig cited above) . However This hasn't been done because of legacy. There is more background to this virtualisation consideration in  TR255 Resource Function Activation and Configuration Suite v20.5

Thank you Dave will review these material and revert back with specific questions/inputs. Would be good if section 3.2.5 of GB922 Service Domain Business Entities was updated to list NaaS alongside RFSSpec & CFSSpec to show how it relates to these two business entities.
