    All,

We use TMF637 to update our Product Inventory.
We would like to store both the product price and cost.
There is a Product Specification Cost class in Product Specification. 637 doesn't support this.
What is a good way of extending 637 to carry the cost to the Product Inventory?

    Regards

    Hi Milind

You can of course extend the API to add this cost, as an attribute on Product, or perhaps on ProductPrice. But perhaps this needs further analysis. The cost might itself be a onetime cost with no ongoing implications, or an ongoing (recurring) cost. And what does it mean by "cost" anyway.
Please see this thread, where @Varun Nair of Telstra reports on the status of an entire API devoted to cost.

    Hope it helps

    Hi Milind,

I don't believe TMF637 provides the right model to store costs. Costs seem to me either related to Resources or to Project/WBS structure.
There currently doesn't seem to be a proper OpenAPI for this though.
