    Within a telecoms network you have resources located at a single location
    (eg DSLAM), resources that are transported between two locations (e.g. copper or fiber cable) and you have subnetworks that have presence at multiple locations (e.g. MPLS networrk, SDH/SONET ring).  How are these meant to be modelled?

    For connectivity modelling ​have a look at Parts A and B of
    TR255 Resource Function Activation and Configuration Suite R17.5.0

    and the recent updates to the Information Framework Lgical resource model
    GB922 Logical and Compound Resource R17.5.1

    e also have a  network resource model document out for members comment that links the Information Framework with the ONF V1.3 ONF Core Information Model 
    TR275 Core Networking Resources Business Entities R17.5.1
