    Hi All,

This question is around the TMF653 Conformance Profile for testMeasure.ruleViolation.

A new field conformanceTargetExact has been introduced in v4 to cater for values that are not numerical test metrics.
There can be scenarios where certain rule requires only the conformanceTargetExact and both TargetLower or TargetUpper may not be present in such case.

The conformance Rule mentioned in the document for conformanceTargetLower, conformanceTargetUpper, conformanceComparatorLower, conformanceComparatorUpper is both M and O which I am unable to completely understand. The 2nd statement "Threshold may be defined without the condition that you define both Upper and Lower one of them is sufficient." makes sense though.

    Please advice on this.

    Thanks,
    Amita

Hi Amita, the thinking behind having both values of O and M is that one of these two values could be optional and since we don't know which one should be mandatory we added the text to try and explain.  While the target exact was introduced I was under the impression that we still needed one or both of lower, upper hence the note that one of these was sufficient.   Can you provide a case where we would not need either of lower/upper targets?

    Hi Johanne,

We have few such scenarios for Mobile Service.
One of them is the test to check current network registration state of a given mobile service within the mobile domain. The test verifies consistency of current network registration of a mobile service against Network Elements. The expected outcome here is exact string 'LOCATED'. There is no range(upper or lower) needed in this case.

Another example is a test to check current state of video call for a given mobile service if it is enabled. the expected outcome is 'TRUE'.

    Hope it helps.
