Our ongoing focus on business in a digital ecosystem-based economy continues with a collaboration project looking at the impact new services delivered via 5G network slices will have on monetisation models and value streams. 

The team is looking to uncover 5G business scenarios, identify associated value streams and uncover specific business capabilities required to successfully monetise them, such as specific billing and charging capabilities, customer experience management, etc.

We're looking for further input from members in the product management space as well as in 5G business development and overall digital business and monetisation areas.

Based on 3 categories of 5G i.e. eMBB, URLLC and mMTC, monetization model would also differ. IMHO, For eMBB - There shouldn't be much change however for URLLC and mMTC - Telco Operator can charge (wholesale model) their enterprise customers offering services to end customers. I believe as 5G use cases are still being identified, monetization scenarios will also evolve over period of time.

Agree that 5G Network Slicing use cases are still being identified/defined, and that monetization models are emerging; however GSMA has developed detailed Network Slicing use cases which are available at: Network Slicing Use Cases Requirements: An Introduction
