Bearing in mind the emerging trends of SDDC (Software Defined Data Centres), SDN (Software Defined Networks), CMN and MND (Cloud Managed Networks and Cloud Managed Networks and Devices), all of which seem to "fit" into IoE, how long do you think it will be before all Telco network functions such as OSS, BSS, NOC and management and control move fully into the cloud, with only partial customisation locally (facing the customer) being the differentiator between many networks of similar coverage and quality/speed?
Additionally, if this IS a rapidly emerging trend, then how can large established Telcos with major organisations compete with small and agile organisations who can use the same methods and tools from the cloud, scaled as they need, while using/accessing the big Telcos infrastructure via wholesale deals...
