In the telecom carriers we are merging the IT and the Technology areas as part of the alignment to a NFV/SDN management. What best practice could we follow?

I wish there was an easy answer to your question. But because it is a good question there is no easy answer. It will vary on your business objectives. What results are you trying to achieve?  TM Forum has some very good guidance available from the Business Process Framework, Information Framework and Application Framework. You are probably reacting that information is too general, which in some ways I sympathizes with, however by seeking specific solutions we often miss a more generic solution that delivers better value. However, if your business objective is X and I have lead you to A you won't be happy.  

So my short answer to your question, look to Frameworx for guidance on your processes, information model and applications (functions) and to the Catalyst for practical implementations . Open dialogues on the community to get more general feedback.

Given the transition to software defined networks will last for years, coexistence between Technology and IT is critical.
As services are virtualized, Operations will need to span across both domains to provide a holistic view of their status and act accordingly to meet customer's expectation. 

In this journey to NFV/SDN agility and flexibility will be key to enable telecom carriers to gradually evolve when re-architecting their networks and IT infrastructure.

Hi @Mar�a Jes�s Herrera , like Ken stated above, TM Forum has some very good guidance available from the Business Process Framework, Information Framework and Application Framework.

I've dug up some info on the Forum's Digital Maturity Model which might also help you get started. Mainly so you understand where your company is at the moment, which can then help develop a map to guide any transformation projects.
