    Hello !

Since I am new to the SID models , I am trying to comprehend the  significance of having attributes that belong to one Business entity but they are dimmed ( in grey colour ).

I am attaching below 2 screenshots from the Excel version of the SID model and the archive version once opened by any modelling tools so that you can see the difference.

Basically , I have 2 questions why there are discrepancy between the attributes for the same entity between the excel version and the UML one. more importantly what does it mean to have dimmed attributes in any format ?

    I would appreciate the help.

    Hi Ashraf,

Attributes in grey in Excel or modelling tool correspond to attributes inherited from a Super-class.
For exemple Customer is a sub-class from PartyRole and because of this inheritance Customer inherits from all attributes and relationships from PartyRole.
In addition, in the Excel spreadsheet you only have attributes inherited but in the modelling tool you also can see the inherited relationships such as _partyInteractionRole inherited by Customer from PartyRole.

    See you,
    Cécile
