Hi Nick, This is something, would say, very controversial in the fraud management area and there is not a consensus on best practices. Usually, each Telecom group has their own losses and savings calculation methodologies and always differ from group to group. It strongly depends on Finance Dept criteria and variables possible to use in the different legislations.
This is my view based in many dozens of telco operators I have worked with.
However, this might be a good topic to bring again to the Fraud Management Group meeting in order to see if we can find an agreement on this subject, at least on the listing of different guidelines used by the different operators.
