The ODA white paper Section 3.2.2, Common Data Architecture, states that there will be a team actively working on identifying the best practices for a common data architecture and the potential conflict with microservices principles and data encapsulation. I would appreciate if any one could point me to either the 'best practices' mentioned, if these have been developed, or the working group itself that is defining the practices.

    Thanks.

    Best Regards

Thanks Vance! Seems that the link is old as when I use that I receive an error message "Looks like you don't have permission to access this project or the page does not exist. Please request to join the project by finding the project in the Project Directory page and clicking the JOIN Button.". If I then goto the Project Directory page it would appear that ODA is not a project by itself but is now part of the Core Project. Well it at least appears to be the case.

Thanks for the starting point. I hope I have it right.

The core project area incudes many projects including ODA that are under IPR RAND mode. Joining any one give access to all the others. Assuming you have a TM Forum web account go to https://www.tmforum.org/collaboration/current-projects/
and join ODA or one of the other Core Projects. Note there is a IPR declaration and there may be a delay  checking with your organisations IPR coordinator  - so this can for some companies take a little while.

    The link should then work

Mostly the ODA common data architecture is based on the notion of the Information Framework (aka SID) and the mapping to the Open APi data models . Plus SID publications have export formats that helps setting up  database schemas. There are other pieces of work in various states of progress  looking at SID mapping to TOSCA representations for onboarding   and work on schemas for AI training sets.
