    Are people seeing a skills shortage in the field of NFV/SDN technology. If so how are you addressing it?

    Skills shortage is one of the critical issues for slow adoption of SDN/NFV. The HR has a huge role to play in recruiting the right people and also training the existing people to match the requirement.  The HR strategy, training strategy, operations strategy and technology strategy need to be aligned and properly coordinated.

    The skills needs of the workforce was recognised early in the ZOOM project and the project produced IG1132 Digital Services Consumer Workforce Transformation R15.0.0  which outlines the required skills transformation which could be the basis of HR planning of workforce skills transformation.
    There is a proposal to create an update to this in the ZOOM Operations centre of the futures subteam for R 17.
