    Is there any study or research that estimates the impact of NFV/SDN implementation on headcount's efficiency for the infrastructure's
    (Network/IT) exploitation:
    • Operations L1: Eliminated?
    • Support L2: Reduced?
    • Field Support: Reduced?
    • Engineering: Increased?
    • Technology: Increased?
    • Change management: Eliminated?
    • Provision: Eliminated?

    This article give some industry insight on the results of operationalizing NFV; may be close to what you're looking for.

    This report from 2016 could also be of interest. It looks at what organizations are experiencing as they strive for virtualization.
