Sales Team representative API modeling

    Hi all,

    Regarding "Sales Representative Team" members relationship in a B2B context, I have to model the team sales representatives that interact with a Customer.

    Since I have not yet modeled Lead nor Opportunity APIs, my question is:

    Are the relatedParty[] associations with a Customer a possible way for modeling the Sales Team,
    or I must first start modeling SalesLead with the corresponding relatedParty[] associations ?

    Usually the Party (Related Party gets modelled first) and the associated entities like Lead are attached to the Related party of the Customer.
    A related party to a customer can have multiple leads against the same customer. So, it is always good to model the related party first.
    However, you can choose to do it the other way round, as long as the relationship is maintained.

    Please note that in the Information Framework (SID), work is proceeding to model entities involved in the sales process. Perhaps @Cecile Ludwichowski could relate to this discussion based on the possible directions that the SID will take.​

    First, what exactly does b2b mean? b2b means "back channel conversations" which simply means that you are talking to people who already have an interest in what you have to offer. This is why it is so important when selecting leads and online sales for your company to have as many back channels as possible.
