    Hi There,

    Can someone shed a light as to how does TMF ZOOM, APIs for NFV stack up would stack up against Linux Foundation ONAP. Is there an overlap or TMF workgroup would complement LF ONAP?

    Dhananjay,

    That's a great question and I am not sure there is a precise answer at the moment. Firstly the merger that created ONAP is very new and so they have not concluded their internal discussions to define the precise scope yet. Secondly, the general view is that TM Forum has a range of assets that could add value to ONAP and we are actively in discussions to try and understand the detail of that, and how we might be able to work together. We'll keep everybody posted.

    Adding to Barry's point, there are several ways ONAP could use the TM Forum work in this area
    • use some of the APIs directly (in some cases with changes as proposed by ZOOM for virtualization issues)
    • use the TM Forum API methodology but not the APIs
    • collaborate with the TM Forum to define new APIs, and/or update existing TM Forum APIs. 

    Would be good to start with some requirements.
