How can one use blockchain technology in a Digital Content Management System which allows for the aggregation of content (video, audio, images, documents, etc) from numerous Content Providers/Aggregators?

There are ways to do that. We are exploring some of these in TM Forum's Catalyst projects. You may perhaps want to join the Catalyst in order to get a first-hand design, R&D and trial insight. It could potentially save your business the cost of having to go the "9 miles".  In the catalyst we won't simply limit the scope to the technical workings (which is the easy part), we will also delve into how to make it a commercially viable venture.

One of the key opportunities in the area of helping to secure content publishers work and improve control over content rights and sharing. In a nutshell, you can use Smart Contracts, an efficient consensus method - based on events, and as well party-to-party interactions in a trustless, monetizable and managed way.

Imagine a brilliant young artist that creates a ring back tone (RBT) or specifically a Video Ringback Tone (vRBT) and wants to publish this on MTN's RBT platform based on a predefined standard that is managed through a curator. In this case, you have 3 parties interacting and they could be interacting from anywhere without the need to even meet. That's the kind of model we are exploring now in our use cases.  It's fun, join in.
