    Hello TMF community,
We are currently looking for COTS software solutions for Service Order Management and the related domains Service Inventory and Service Catalog. The solution may also serve the resource level. Explicitly it is about the fulfillment starting from the customer facing services.

The usual vendors like Amdocs, Netcracker and Comarch are of course known to me, I am more looking for the solutions that might be easily overlooked.
I would be happy if the community could give me input on this. Which vendors have you worked with or which ones caught your eye? How far have the associated TMF OpenAPIs TMF641, TMF633 and TMF638 been adopted by now?

Thanks in advance for any feedback that is given.

    Kind regards,

    Jan

When we looked at providers we included Ericsson so that may be worth a look to.

    Hi Jan,

Ciena Blue Planet has a partnership with Hansen Technologies (which acquired Sigma Systems) for service order management. They also have a federated inventory system.

Intraway's Symphonica has order management and resource inventory.

Cerillion has product catalog, resource inventory and service management.

Nokia has the FlowOne solution (acquired from Comptel) for order management and service fulfillment.

Ericsson, Oracle, HPE, and IBM are some others with appropriate solutions.

    Best regards,

    James

Well, if @James Crawshaw has mentioned some of the biggies, it would only be fair to point out that Amdocs has several offerings in the service area under our Amdocs NEO brand, including service design/catalog, service order manager, and service inventory. @Jan Lemmermann I could put you into contact with people who'd be very happy to explore in more details.
P.S. Apologies for the marketing, perhaps we should have some meta-discussion as to whether it's a legitimate topic for these community boards.

    Hi Jan
It is worthwhile to look at www.nmsworks.co.in. It is necessary to have Inventory centric tools for Orders, Provisioning, Orchestration and even assurance.

I am off course marketing here, but you would not be disappointed. It is from India and has been deployed and running in several Tier 1 TELCOS. We have competed with global OEMs and even replaced some.

    thanks

Thanks to all for the many pointers. @Jonathan Goldberg: A little marketing is okay I hope :-)
Most of the solutions mentioned I had actually already on the screen. So my research can't have been that bad. That is good news.

Short note: We are mainly looking for a solution as a fixed line provider. Solutions that have their exclusive focus on 5G or similar are rather uninteresting.

Maybe there are other people who can share what solution they have already succeeded with.

    Thanks again,

    Jan

    Hi Jan,

Please allow me to add to the marketing of the vendors :-) You might also want to look at Alvatross, the software business unit of SATEC. The website just went live (www.alvatross.io) so I ask for your forgiveness for some kinks that we still need to fix. Alvatross' portfolio is centered on service order management. The company also participates in the ODA component accelerator to evaluate the ODA compliance of its software.
