Hi ,
I'm learning a product offering price of SID-model and trying to understand what price form should be when it depends on the usage event parameters of the product.
For instance, there is a product offer "voice" with billing event a "call" that has a parameter "tariff zone". That product offers a different price for each "tariff zone":
a) minute of conversation inside the home region
b) minute of conversation inside the country
c) A minute of conversation in other countries
GB922_Product_R16 specifies different forms of price and one of them is "Tariff Usage" that looks like a set of "Simple Usage" for different event types. Unfortunately, there is no guide how to configure a rule to apply "Simple Usage" depending on product usage.
As I see, each "Simple Usage" from "Tariff Usage" should have a configuration that provides a rule when this component is applied. At the same time, that rule should depend on parameters of the event (in my case, depends on "tariff zone").
From the spec, I found the following components:
PolicySet - сomplex rules that depend on product offers purchased by the customer.
PricingLogicAlgorithm – abstract algorithm for price calculation, can be parameterized with product or product usage parameters but it doesn't have a possibility to manage applicability.
CharacteristicPriceDependency – list of conditions that may include parameters of different entity types. It handles applicability of price component however doesn't modify a quantitative dimension of price component.
As I got it, to configure applicability of price component that depends on product usage events, CharacteristicPriceDependency should be used, am I right?
If I have chosen a wrong way, could some one point me to the right way how it can be configured.
