    Hi All,

I'm struggling to find if there is an API specification to do things like:

    Replace a CPE
Send a reset to the CPE
    Query CPE information
    Etc...

I want to know how to deal with CPEs directly for operations that won't modify service characteristics.

    Is it maybe TMF652?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Disclaimer - I am by no means an OSS expert!

Possibly Resource Activation and Configuration would be your best choice, it depends whether you think you need the additional business semantics, and perhaps overhead, of a Resource Order (TMF652). If you are considering self-adjustment by end customer, for instance, especially where there is no financial implication to the configuration, perhaps an order is not needed.

Note that Resource Activation and Configuration is a new API, not yet scheduled for publication, it was split from TMF640 (used to be Activation and Configuration for both Service and Resource, now confined to Service).

    Hope it helps

Ye have a look at TMF 664 .
this was designed to handle configuration of Devices through their Resource functions which is a technique  to define functionality of a device so as to be able able to handle both physical device and their virtualise equivalents
The conceptual background to this API is captured in TR255 Resource Function Activation and Configuration Suite R17.5.0  which in part c has a firewall example
This API is being update   the team draft is on Open API Project  ( you need to be a registered member to access it )   at  TMF664 - Resource Function Activation & Configuration

and the there is an information page on its use for Firewall and 5G at TMF664 Resource Function Activation and Configuration
