The TM Forum IoE and Digital Ecosystem Project is seeking a lead to provide guidance and oversight for the adoption, design, and development of the IoE management & monetization chartered work.
As the connected world of Internet of Everything (IoE) and digital ecosystems grows; digital business becomes the new norm for consumer and enterprise applications and services. The aim of this project is to create guidelines, best practices, models, metrics and other practical tools that enable successful monetization of new digital services spanning any industry vertical and facilitate management of complex digital ecosystems of partners needed to deliver these services.
For 2018, a specific focus is on indexing and assessing digital business scenarios; facilitating multi-lateral ecosystem partnerships; enabling monetization of digital services and collaborating on the customer experience aspects of trust (privacy & data management); and applied innovation with continued work in the smart contract and blockchain technologies.
This program is currently comprised of Management & Monetization project teams working on:
- Business scenarios & ecosystem partnerships continue to define a set of guidelines and best practices for establishing and managing digital services across multiple partnerships that have already been published. Teams are also working through techniques to index business scenarios and identify patterns.
- In the context of IoE, monetization teams continue to analyze business scenarios and use cases. Cross-team initiatives aim to refine monetization models, templates and future trends. In addition, teams are studying new technologies such as 5G and its impact on monetization opportunities.
This project will collaboratively create new, and enhance existing, TM Forum assets related to Enabling efficient operations across the digital organization and any ecosystem it is a part of.
The role of the lead is to:
- Drive and stimulate adoption of IoE and digital ecosystem concepts relating to management & monetization
- Lead the business scenario, ecosystem partnership & monetization workstream teams in collaboration
- Organize and lead the weekly team conference calls
- Guide team to identify priorities and the development of the next phase of the IoE and Digital Ecosystem project's management & monetization deliverables.
- Work with the CEM, ODA, AI, Frameworx, ZOOM, API teams and other teams as needed to identify and address cross-team dependencies
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Have a good level of familiarity with TM Forum component Frameworx and other programs
- Be familiar with the concepts of IoE and Digital Ecosystems that were produced in earlier phases, and current work such as CurateFx
- Have good networking skills to successfully and productively liaise with the workstream contributors, as well as with the leads of the other TM Forum workstreams
The lead will have access to the IoE Steering Group, made up of IoE Industry leaders and innovators as well as TM Forum staff as collaborative resources.
We are also ideally looking for a candidate who can make a commitment from April 2018- June 2019.
