    Hey Guys

    Sorry this query of mine is a amalgamation of a ODA component and associated TMF open API .

    There is a TMFC as part of Core Commerce Mgmt bloack called as TMFC054 Produc Test Mgmt, first and foremost I need to understand whats the purpose and objective , then there is an associated TMF 769 Open API defintion , the sample use cases listed are more from a context of a wholesale provider .

    So here are my questions:

    1. TMFC054 where does this component live in the context of a function will it POM or SOM, I assume POM but is this a new entrant into the ecosystem .
    2. What is the objective of product test management is it e2e service testing(both from a fulfillment and assurance standpoint) eventually wasn't that something that is already provided in Services domain by SOM by mean of leveraging TMF 653, then what's the point of having this wrapper

    Product Test Management

    		 TMFC054

    Product Test Management component is responsible for product test specification for each Product Specification, and identification of the possible tests to be launched automatically by the delivery or assurance processes, or manually by the customer or user or by a CSR, to test that a product is functioning correctly. It utilizes tests available at the service specification level (or resource specification level for a tangible product). Product Test Management owns end-to-end execution and reporting of product tests according to the context and/or the actor.

    You will notice that the compliance work of this Component is not yet delivered.  if you have an interest in accelerating this work, please join the Component and Canvas Project and help us get this out to the member community.

    Hi Ankit,

    I have participated in the project which has initiated that ODA component and Open API, so I hope I can provide some insight.

    First, you are right pointing out the role of the Service Test Component and API in the Production Domain and the parallel to POM vs SOM. In the end, the "real" job is done in Production. But you might still need to expose a testing API to the market, allowing an external Party to trigger a test on the commercial object he is aware of = Product. Obviously, this testing request will have to be translated into concrete Service Tests (using the ProductTestSpec to ServiceTestSpec rules) executed by Service Test Component and API in the Production Domain.

    Similar Pattern applies to ProductOfferingQualification in Commerce vs ServiceQualification in Production.
