    Hi all,
i would like to ask some information about TMF certification. Specifically, how can i get it? What is the process to get it?
Thanks in advance for the feedback,
    Filippo

    Hi Filippo,

If you mean professional certification of individuals, I believe that all is explained on Training + accreditation - TM Forum. In our company, we negotiated a package with TMF to onboard a maximum number of people in the TMF training program. I guess that your TMF account manager can help you with that.

Then there are other certification programs, like Open APIs (TM Forum Open API Conformance Overview | TM Forum) and, in the future, ODA components.

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Hi Roland,
first of all thanks for the feedback. I reffered to the certification like Open API. Is this (https://www.tmforum.org/how-can-i-get-my-api-implementation-to-be-conformant-to-tm-forum-open-api-specifications/) the process to follow?

    Thanks,
    Filippo

    Hi Filippo,

It is. Basically, you should decide and inform about what OpenAPIs you want to certificate, then you pass the CTKs for each API and you send the reports generated by the CTK as well as a document to explain the product or solution which implements each API.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

As far as I remember, a couple of days once you deliver the reports and the documents. In our case, one month the whole process, but it could have been much less if we had been in a hurry.

    Hi

We are planing to get our implementation certified for api 645.

    Should everthing(all paths) be implemented?

For instance, is mandatory to implement "events subscription" and  "notification listeners" in order to get it certified?

All operations, (eg patch, delete) must be implemented?

Should it also be prepared to work in asynchronous way?

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

    Hi Vinicius,

You can find this information in the conformance profile document. It in the Open API Table, 4th column. Other thing you can do is to execute the CTK to get the report that it generates. There you can see what you missed implementing to get the certification.

    Regards,

    Hi,

let's use the TMF645_Service_Qualification_Management API in our solution.

According to document TMF645B_Service_Qualification_API_Conformance_Profile_v4.0.0, for both CheckServiceQualification and QueryServiceQualification resources, the rule says: "POST operation is mandatory. if POST send 201 code then GET is also mandatory. If POST send a 200 code GET is optional".

Our solution works in synchronous mode, so GET would be optional, according to this rule, ie "instantSyncQualification = TRUE". Am I correct?

If we don't implement GET, is it possible to get certified anyway?

    Best Regards,

I suggest you look inside the CTK for TMF645 to see what the Postman scripts actually do in this particular situation. In the worst case you could open a discussion with @Alfred Anaya-Dubernard who runs the certification program in TMF, to discuss how to proceed.

Many thanks for responding to this inquiry @Jonathan Goldberg, actually the issue has been sorted out already as there was a separate discussion with Henrique Rodrigues and it's all good now.
