Does anybody know, if there is a sequence diagram or a description of a test execution?
I think, it should be like:
    1. POST /serviceTest to create/start the test
    2. Read the test specification
    3. Create a request object
    4. Call the metric href
    Is this correct?

Is it possible to specify an asynchronous endpoint as metric href? And which method (POST,GET,...) is used to call the metric endpoint?

If there are no defaults or nothing specified, it would be great to start the discussion :)

    Hi Andreas,

We have documented Service Test Management under IG1224 (https://www.tmforum.org/resources/standard/ig1224-naas-service-management-v8-0-0/).

It covers both sequence diagrams & the functional context of TMF653. The Sequence diagram is at Level 1 so it only looks at the test specification and does not go beyond what is behind the specification (like Metric, etc).

    Hi Adbul,

thank you for the document link! It confirms my understanding of TMF653.

But unfortunately it does not answer the questions about the metric handling. Do anybody know, how it is thought to handle the calls to the metric endpoints?

    Hi Andreas,

GB1028 (https://www.tmforum.org/resources/standard/gb1028-end-to-end-performance-management-using-tm-forum-apis-v1-0-0/) shows how you can apply METRIC in the context of performance/quality and you can apply the similarly for Test. You can also refer to GB922 Metric document to get a deeper understanding of Metric ABE.

There is no METRIC API at this point in time listed in the Open API Table (https://projects.tmforum.org/wiki/display/API/Open+API+Table). @Jonathan Goldberg Do you know if there is any Metric API proposal?

    Hi Abdul,

thanks again for the document links.

It looks like that some kind of "Metrics API" is defined within the TMF653 ServiceTestSpecification TestMeasureDefiinitin sub-resource. Not really sure, if there is a need for another API.
