Hello TM Forum team,

We are currently in the process of implementing the TMF681 Communication Management API (version 4.0) and some critical points have arisen that we need to validate with you in order to properly advance towards a future certification.

We have detected inconsistencies among the three main reference documents:

• The Conformance document indicates that the only mandatory resource is Communication Message.

• The CTK includes validations for the Hub and Listener resources, in addition to the Communication Message.

• However, the Swagger file does not currently define the Listener resource. If it is decided to include the Listener in the CTK, then an updated Swagger file that includes this resource will be needed.

Additionally, we found that the CTK v4.0 available on the website is not functional (the validation scripts for the three resources listed in the CTK Postman collection are not implemented correctly). To run it properly, we had to fix several scripts and make additional CTK configuration adjustments.

Given this situation, we would like to ask the following:

1. Which of the documents should be considered the source of truth in the context of the certification process for this TMF681 API?

2. Is it possible to obtain certification by implementing only the Communication Message resource, as specified in the Conformance document? In this case, should we modify the CTK to include only the CommunicationMessage resource and remove Hub and Listener from the CTK?

3. If it is necessary to implement Hub and Listener as well, who and when can provide us with the updated TMF681 Swagger including the Listener resource?

We appreciate your guidance in advance to ensure an implementation aligned with TM Forum's official requirements.

Hi Genesis

The CTK generation process is undergoing automation changes at V5 so that there are no inconsistencies between the CTK, CP and OAS/Swagger.

You should assume that the CP is the source of truth for TMF681 API.

It is not mandatory to implement any notifications for this API.

Hence, you should be able to gain certification without the Hub/Listener.
