    Hello Jonathan,
As discussed in the other thread (TMF645 - QueryServiceQualification API Generalisation.), attached are my musings on how GET may be extended in TMF 645 to get availability checks and queries from a pre-existing availability database using something other than {id}. It of course assumes the availability information is there to get.

As I said in the other thread I suspect POST and the task pattern for TMF645 is not just about the possible asynch behaviour of the API but also about how to form complex queries that cannot be expressed easily as simple search strings.

    Thanks Derrick
I haven't had a chance to look at this yet, hopefully will take some time later on.
But to be honest, the best way for you to influence the thinking and design patterns in Open APIs is to actually join the project :)
There's a limit to the effectiveness of these discussions on the community board, as you yourself pointed out on the other thread.

    No problems.
Not sure I can join the project as I am working in a personal capacity here and am currently not employed by
    a TMForum member company.

@Derrick Evans @Jonathan Goldberg did this go anywhere at all as the suggested style of query is the kind of thing which would fit a use case of ours?

Was interested though Derrick on your statement around assuming that the data was already stored somewhere. I was wondering where you saw that being as generally with your example for fibre access that information may come from a supplier API?

Also these were just queries but i was wondering how you saw something like TV Access relating to other under pinning services that any consumer would either need to already have in place or would need to include to allow that over the top service to be delivered (it also might depend on certain connectivity speeds or access technologies)?

I'm afraid that I am not aware of any progress in this area. It's not in my comfort zone. Best I can do is to refer this thread to the lead for the SQM API.

Hello. I am not aware of any changes being worked on in this regard. So my experience of this is with a wholesale access provider who effectively pre built this data in a database as a way of accelerating the query response time and make it a synchronous response.

In practice this is a bit like assuming every premises or piece of network infrastructure has had a qualification check proactively made and cached for folks to retrieve using query parameters rather than resource IDs.
