In Service Provider, we will be managing the Subnet allocation with customized range of IPaddress of version 6 and 4.

For sample, Subnet 1.1.1.1/24 IP allocated to specific product and assign IP to device from same subnet.

Can somebody please suggest if there is any TMF standard API already available to allocate and unallocated the subnet usage.

There was a Pool Utilization and Usage Manage API but I am not sure Subnet allocation API can be mapped to anyone existing or not.

Please do the needful if anybody is aware of it and worked already anything on IP address related stuff.

Subnets are logical resources, are they not, Sanjay?

If so, the various Resource APIs would seem to fill the bill. There was a Resource Reservation API TMF716 in progress, but unfortunately work on that seems to have stalled. The resource pool API TMF685 might be an alternative.

    Hope it helps

Jonathan agree with your proposal possible that @Vance Shipley will have further insights

Resource Reservation API TMF716 might be close to Subnet handling API where pool of IP can be reserved and released

@Dave Milham ,  Is it available for implementation?

Yes @Jonathan Goldberg and @Dave Milham, from an information modeling perspective a Subnet is a ResourceFunction. This is clearly stated in TR255.

You may choose to manage an IP subnet with 664 Activation, 634 Catalog and 639 Inventory.  You may use pooling and reservation of IP addresses and when assigned they would become connectionPoints. You may also define connectivity topology if that is helpful.

Resource Function Activation and Configuration Suite (TR255) | TM Forum

modelling has been fully incorporated into the SID .

    We used this model in

GB999 ODA Production Implementation Guidelines v4.0.1 | TM Forum

Part three describes how a connectivity service comprising Flows across multiple connectivity domains ( subnets) using the TR255/SID models. This requires a couple of simple end point extensions to the SID

PS and this can be implemented using the TMF664 API

    Dear Jonathan,

I'm currently working on the NaaS transformation at VodafoneZiggo together with Amdocs. We were curious as to whether there was any update or progress on the TMF716 standard, TMF685 is not really what we are looking for.

    Thanks for any advice,

    Best regards,
    Keith

I'm afraid that I have no knowledge on work going on for TMF716. Sorry.
