Is there a naming convention for characteristics names? I have search but nothing found.

I think this question came up on a different thread recently. I'm not aware of any "official" guidance as to naming characteristics.

Please consider the following:

• Distinguish between the underlying name of the characteristic, natural-language-independent, as against the displayable name, which may have multiple instances in different languages.
• Consider that the underlying name may ultimately be used directly in software or hardware, so it would probably be wise to ensure no spaces and no special characters. Lower-case camel case is probably a good idea, to match the convention for attribute/property names.
