Thank you so much for the quick response
@Vance Shipley.
Any thoughts on the second part of my question? Should the inventory system have the smarts to manage the time based transition of it should be the responsibility of external client?

Unfortunately documentation in the Open API project contains very little attribution to external references.
For a better understanding of these attribute values please refer to:
- TMF GB922 Resource Domain Business Entities
- ITU-T X.731 State Management Information
- 3GPP 28.625 State Management Data Definition

Subject: TMF639 - Resource Inventory Management - Question Regarding States
Hi,
Is there some form of documentation/resource that would help explain the meaning of different state fields in Resource model - operationalState, administrativeState, resourceStatus and usageState.
Also need help to understand how to handle time based state transitions. For example, a MSIDN resource when reserved (resourceStatus = reserved) via ordering process, and the order gets cancelled later, the resourceStatus will be updated to standby. Then after a day of staying in standby, it should automatically get updated to available.
There is nothing to specify these transitions on the ResourceSpecification model.
Thanks
