I have no problem in finding Jira tickets for 685 and 716. Could it be that you were timed out of the TMF website and you need to log in again?

thanks Dan, I was thinking the same indeed.
hello Jonathan, looks like I am not able anymore to see jira tickets for TMF 685 and TMF716 I mentioned before, a message says "It may have been deleted or you don't have permission to view it." Do you know it there is a specific reason for this?

It appears that TMF716 Resource Reservation is with Pierre for final review, so the resource reservation API section should probably be removed from TMF685 Resource Pool Mgmt. The last version I saw of TMF716 appeared to look like an order-style API supporting multiple reservation items. TMF685 seems to have some overlap with TMF687 Stock Mgmt API in relation to the allocation of Physical Resources. I imagine that the use case sections in TMF685 needs updating as a result.

Hi Paola
I'm afraid that I don't know what will be done between resource pool management and resource reservation.

thanks Jonathan for clarification, so I may also suppose at this point that version5 of TMF685 resource from a pool management (https://projects.tmforum.org/jira/browse/AP-3426) will not treat the reservation part, being the intention here to rework it in a more general way in TMF716 resource reservation (https://projects.tmforum.org/jira/browse/AP-3701)?
Rgs,
Paola.

Hi Paola
To my understanding, the resource inventory API is not suited used for resource reservation, hence the need for different APIs (resource pool, and the potential resource reservation).
- The resource inventory reflects resources that are assigned for a specific use (or at least already reserved for such use), typically to support a service given to a customer (but perhaps also for internal telco needs).
- Resource reservation is all about finding resources (logical or physical) that can be assigned, and creating the connections between resources (think TN management, or MSISDN/IMSI management).
Hope it helps

Hello Jonathan,
I saw there is also another interesting ticket in TMF jira: TMF716 - resource reservation.
Now, given TMF685 is about resource from a pool management, on TMF 716 we talk about resource reservation but also we already have the TMF639 - resource inventory which can be used to reserve a resource (by using the reserved state) and the chance to model a pool as a resource collection, I was wondering what is the idea behind the 2 jira tickets for TMF 685 (https://projects.tmforum.org/jira/browse/AP-3426) and TMF716 (https://projects.tmforum.org/jira/browse/AP-3701).
Thanks in advance,
Paola.

Hi Myagga
To my understanding, there is work going on for a v5 issuing of Resource Pool, I don't have visibility as to the current status.
Hope it helps

Hello,
Resource Pool Management API (TMF685) is not renewed from v3.0 (2018). Is it deprecated or matured that new version is not to be released?
