Joann has worked in R&D for approximately 20 years with significant experience in both engineering and management roles.
For the past 9 years, Joann has been working with TM Forum, one of the world’s leading industry associations focused on improving business effectiveness for service providers and their suppliers. TM Forum has over 900 member companies worldwide in over 180 countries including all major fixed and mobile network operators and all the leading equipment and software vendors. Joann currently leads the Open API & Ecosystem program, leading the API strategy for the Forum community working with our membership and ensuring delivery of the right APIs to meet the industry needs in the context of partnerships, platforms and ecosystems.
Prior to TM Forum, Joann held positions such as Senior Program Manager for Large Scale OSS/BSS programs, responsible for programs from concept through to deployment at key Communication Service Provider sites across the globe.
She also has significant experience in mobile switching technology, and led a team of engineers in the design of the cellular environments in Motorola.
Prior roles included Lead QA engineer for Apple’s IMac product and also redesigning of end to end processes for a major US Health Care Insurance provider.
Joann’s experience is extensively engineering with strong business acumen and has been effective in ensuring significant productivity and efficiency improvements throughout her career.
