Dear TM Forum community,
I'm currently exploring the adoption and implementation of TM Forum Open APIs v5, and I'd like to learn from others who may already be on this journey.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from members who have started or completed adoption of v5 APIs, and would appreciate insights on the following areas:
1. Adoption status & scope
Have you started implementing v5 APIs (pilot, partial, or full adoption)?
Which domains or APIs did you prioritize first, and why?
2. Guardrails & internal checks
What architectural or governance guardrails have you put in place (e.g., API design standards, conformance checks, versioning strategies)?
How are you ensuring consistency, backward compatibility, and compliance with TMF guidelines?
Are you using automated validation, linting, or CI/CD checks for Open API specifications?
3. Developer experience & faster adoption
What practices or tooling have helped improve developer experience?
How are you enabling faster onboarding and consumption of v5 APIs (documentation, mock servers, sandboxes, portals, etc.)?
Any lessons learned or pitfalls to avoid?
4. Reskilling & enablement
Did you need to reskill teams (architecture, development, testing, product)?
What skills or mindset shifts were most important (API-first, domain-driven design, event-driven patterns, etc.)?
How did you approach training and change management?
The goal is to better understand practical, real-world experiences beyond the specifications-what actually worked, what didn't, and what you'd do differently.
Looking forward to your insights and discussion.
Thank you!
