Open APIs

Hello,

I have a use case for managing cash transactions in a physical retail store, and we want to push the transaction to the cash register system along with the amount received and details of the purchased products. Which TMF API can we use? We are considering using the Payment API, but the product details and types are not mentioned in the API guide.

Hi Hikma

The Payment API is what you need to use. The Payment Item (in Payment) has an opaque Entity reference, since a payment can refer to many different types of entity. Payments are very often for Product, but they can also be for other circumstances, e.g. administrative fee for changing details, or on a bill that covers many products, etc.
