Yes, Subcategory B may have Product Offerings and I suggest Subcategory A to have isRoot = false in this case.

I dont have a use-case right now. I agree, if isRoot is True indicates category is root of categories.
I am going by definition of Category resource, which says: Categories can contain other categories and/or product offerings, resource or service candidates.
As per my query, is it a valid scenario that a subcategory can have another sub-category under it? Can product offerings be grouped in Subcategory B, in my new image below?
In case my scenario is valid, then what will be the value of isRoot for Subcategory A?

Combination of "isRoot", "parent" and "subCategory" fields should be enough from my point of view to understand place of the given Category in the hierarchy.
