Open APIs

Hi 

I need to create Campaign management reference tables. Similar to Marketing Campaign ABE. I don't see a Marketing API - only a TMF671 Promotion Management API. 

Are these similar? Can the Promotion Management API be used to store marketing campaigns?

Hi Elzahn

The Promotion API is about defining promotions at catalog authoring time level. The API is loosely coupled with the catalog model, using the actionEntityRef property as part of the promotion action.

At runtime (ordering time) would be expected to execute the promotion rules as defined in this API.

This API does not manage marketing campaigns. One might imagine that a campaign management API would refer to promotions that might be launched as part of the campaign.
