Hi Ryan
We added a reference from ProductSpecification to Category in v5, like this (you'll find this in the very early beta for TMF620 here: https://www.tmforum.org/oda/open-apis/table/pre-production
category:
type: array
items:
$ref: '#/components/schemas/CategoryRef'
description: >-
The category resource is used to group product specifications in logical containers.
Categories can contain other categories and/or other catalog entries.
We made this change also in v4.2, but for reasons not clear to me the v4.2 improvements in TMF620 have never been published.
Anyway hope it helps.

Subject: TMF622 - Adding categories to product specs
Team,
We are looking at a modular approach to our product catalogue similar to the one presented recently by BT but looking into the product catalogue design it seems there's no way to categorise the product specifications directly. Ideally our modules would be defined from the specification level on down.
Is this something that TMF is looking at for future releases?
