  • 1.  TMF648 - Ideas on how we can implement a Quote Group

    Hi There,

    I have a scenario to support capability to support multiple quotes in one request. You can think of it as Quotegroup that comprises of multiple quotes or a bulk quote request - see the image below with a new box for a quote group. I would like to know if there is a plan to support this kind of a feature. I understand this breaks the object model available today to represent to facilitate a corner case scenario but just trying to get others views here.

    Hi Ganapathiram
    Regardless of future plans in the Open API team, you can freely extend the API model to meet your specific needs.
    Specifically for this QuoteGroup, you need to think about the business processes that might cause such a group to be created, and thus decide if the group needs to be a separately managed entity or rather created implicitly as part of participating quotes.

    Thanks for the update. I understand extension usually works well when we create a subtype but here the quote group is the super type and I have to see how it works and if the changes will remain TMF compliant. I will explore and post back updates.
