Open APIs

We are currently working on the implementation of TMF673 – Geographic Address Management and TMF675 – Geographic Location Management in two Latin American countries: Chile and Peru. During our analysis and initial discussions, a few important questions have emerged, and we would greatly appreciate your guidance.

1. When it comes to using cartographic resources (such as maps, plans, and graphical representations), does TM Forum provide any standard approach or existing functionality to integrate these APIs with a mapping or GIS system?

We would highly value any insights, recommendations, or best practices you can share-especially from those who have implemented these APIs in regions with non-standard address hierarchies.

As I mentioned yesterday in your similar post, I'd suggest you read the 3 APIs and the TMFC014 Location Management ODA-C. You will read that GIS is managed by TMFC014 Location Management (either directly or as a proxy/facade to 3rd party GIS) and exposed by its API.

As a mentioned yesterday, the Peruvian address system is very standard. Peruvian addresses (and is data hierarchies) follow a logical format very similar to many other countries. (I use Postgrid to understand location management in different countries). TMF APIs will work for you out of the box. You just need to climb the learning curve for the APIs. existing posts in the community will help you a lot.
